The band was born when Rafa Gutierrez and David Summers met by accident in 1982 in the hallways of RTVE. Joined afterwards by Daniel Mezquita and Javier Molina for a demo, they ended up premiering at the iconic Rock-Ola of Madrid. Following an overwhelming first period between 1985 and 1992 with 7 studio albums, over 600 concerts in Spain and America, 2 films and a time break, Hombres G continue with their career of pop/rock hits which has endured for more than 30 years. With 20 million records sold up to date, they have crowded the biggest venues achieving sold outs in most of their shows. In 2019 they were awarded with the Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts for their contribution to Spanish culture, in Spain and abroad. It was also the year of their twelfth studio album release, “Resurrección”.
